Understanding & Interpreting Photometric Files:

1 hour (Intermediate Level) Approved for 1 IES CEU

Attendees will learn about photometric testing and how a photometric file is created along with the different types of photometric files. They'll learn about types of photometry, the difference between absolute and relative photometry, and near field and far field photometry. Each keyword line of an IES file will be analyzed to learn its importance to the IES file and what it should (or shouldn't include). Comparisons will be shown between Eulumdat, IES, and simulated files.

Lighting Calculations: Who, What, Why, and How:

1 hour (Introduction Level)  Approved for 1 IES CEU

Attendees will gain a general understanding of the difference between Quality and Quantity of Light and become familiar with various lighting software programs and considerations when selecting a software to use. The need for lighting calculations will be discussed along with the factor and information needed to produce the most accurate calculations. Realizations and considerations of software programs and their accuracy when conducting calculations will be shared.
